Project Manager

MSI General is seeking a Project Manager to join our team! We are one of the first fully integrated DesignBuild construction firms in Wisconsin, with over 60 years of continuous profitability delivering excellence in design, estimating, and construction management.

The Project Manager assumes the responsibility for bringing a project to completion on time and in budget, balancing the customers and MSI General’s needs for a mutually successful project. This position ensures all team members, clients, subcontractors and consultants are kept informed and updated on job progress. The Project Manager works with team members, making adjustments as necessary and forecasting upcoming critical events.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all pre-construction services on assigned projects, including risk management, municipal approvals, creating and managing project schedules, and working with Estimating during the bidding & project buy-out period
  • Assist Project Superintendent with on-site coordination, long lead items and day-to-day project execution
  • Manage priorities & decision making matrix to prevent project delays
  • Timely execution of owner & subcontractor change orders and/or field changes
  • Attend project meetings and lead the core client meetings from pre-construction to post-construction
  • Actively involved in development of Project Superintendents
  • Proposal assistance and assembly, including to help prepare and edit bidding instructions, bid list, and qualify subcontractor bids
  • Project tracking for continued maintenance of project costs and subcontract and/or change order preparation and issuance
  • Assist Sales Department with budget assembly to qualify sales prospects
  • Prepare agenda, arrange and run weekly team meetings as required for projects
  • Attend job meetings, support Project Superintendents, prepare meeting agendas, draft and finalize meeting minutes when necessary, and follow up of action items with project team
  • Work with Sales Department to analyze all required items to start a project
  • Responsible for project close-out, including overseeing punch list completion, as-built package delivery and client follow-up

 

Required Knowledge:

  • General knowledge of all aspects of construction, including, but not limited to: site work, concrete, masonry, steel erection, finishes, and MEP’s
  • Understanding of safety rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of building codes
  • Understanding of project accounting and subcontracting

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or advanced training in construction-related Project Management through accredited sources
  • Successful experience as a Superintendent or Project Manager on multiple construction projects over 5 years
  • Demonstrated abilities to manage complex projects and work with multiple superintendents, subcontractors, and owners while maintaining profitability on projects
  • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to organize the many facets of a project

Marketing Coordinator

MSI General is currently looking to hire a Marketing Coordinator to lead the company’s marketing and communication efforts. MSI General offers Single Source Responsibility™ to create new facilities, renovate existing facilities, and envision real estate development opportunities. We consistently deliver excellence in design, in estimating and in construction management. We have made this our commitment to our team and to our clients.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing a cohesive brand standard for MSI General. This includes being qualified to update, package, and deliver the marketing program within the company and maintain the digital library of company case studies, templates, projects, cut sheets, and other marketing material to ensure a level of consistency. The Marketing Coordinator will embrace the use of technology both current and emerging to enthusiastically and energetically perform their job duties. This role coordinates our marketing efforts including printed material, digital campaigns, external events, and brand awareness to deliver the MSI General value proposition.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Administrative Manager with creating, updating and maintaining social media content and digital advertising elements including (but not exclusively) LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Maintain and update the company website on a consistent basis.
  • Write copy for press releases, ads, whitepaper articles, brochures and electronic applications
  • Attain a working knowledge of MSI General’s past projects and assist in applying to current opportunities
  • Attend and participate in department, company, and team meetings as necessary
  • Learn general knowledge of field operations, design and sales to promote and support department and company goals
  • Create branding materials in all aspects of public relations related to MSI General
  • Assist in coordinating photo shoots with professional photographers and maintain photo library of projects
  • Support design department with award submissions and photographs
  • Regularly monitor MSI General’s social media profile using keyword search tools for feedback
  • Assist in coordinating and developing internal responses to project specific RFP, presentation opportunities and client interviews.
  • Photo/Bio updates team members

 

Required Knowledge:

  • Ability to provide advertising & promotional strategies with Sales Manager
  • Layout design software: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Publisher, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Suite, InDesign, Word Press, Constant Contact
  • Website management software
  • Graphic design
  • Experience with video content
  • Experience with email marketing campaigns
  • Develop external partnerships to drive brand growth
  • An understanding of current construction trends

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in a marketing role

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or B.S. degree in Marketing or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in a marketing role
  • Experience related to an architectural and/or construction firm
