The Riviera, Phase II
15,346 SF Interior Improvements in Lake Geneva, WI
The Riviera was built in 1932 on a rubble mound on the northeast shore of Geneva Lake. The elegant yet dated Riviera Ballroom on the second floor is a popular venue for weddings and events. The first floor was originally designed as a bathhouse for Riviera Beach. Subsequent renovations enclosed the first floor creating a retail and concession space for seasonal vendors.
Phase Two of The Riviera project in Lake Geneva is well underway. While maintaining the historical integrity of the structure, MSI General is updating and reworking the building’s plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems. The first-floor redesign includes larger restrooms near the north entrance and a family restroom near the south entrance. Second-floor renovations include replacing the ballroom floor, restoring the reception and bar area, installing a new ceiling, and refurbishing the restrooms. The project also includes new installation of an elevator, a sprinkler system, and audio-visual components.
