We work together to create conceptual estimates, bid and award subcontracts, and monitor the project finances throughout the construction process. By integrating our client’s list of preferred subcontractors and our list of 500+ approved subcontractors, we establish and maintain the project bidders list, which includes 3-4 qualified subcontractors per trade. Our subcontractors are vetted based on quality workmanship, previous performance, a team-oriented approach, and proper insurance.

By understanding your business requirements, we craft spaces that clearly reflect your intent and purpose. Our Finance and Administration team handles contract management, billing, permits, document control, and coordination between project teams and clients. Dirk is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He officially joined MSI General in 1983 and was called back into active duty in 2007. Upon retirement from the U.S. Navy as a 3-Star Admiral, Dirk returned to MSI General in 2012. As the third-generation family owner, Dirk strives to build upon the success of our fully integrated DESIGNBUILD construction model while leading our team in our shared vision of creating and maintaining raving fans.

Erik Brekke
Director of Preconstruction
With nearly 30 years in the DESIGNBUILD industry, Erik has planned and executed hundreds of complex residential and commercial buildings. He leads the Estimating Team and manages behind-the-scene details, including conceptual budgets, hard budget constraints, project documentation and subcontract negotiation. “Plan the work and work the plan” is the cornerstone of his approach to each project.

During his tenure with MSI General, Niall has proven himself to be an invaluable asset to our construction team by consistently delivering projects on time and within budget. With a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills, he possesses and conveys extensive knowledge of DESIGNBUILD commercial construction. As Director of Construction, Niall plays a crucial role in overseeing our construction projects and ensuring their successful completion.
