BIM Manager

We are seeking a BIM Manager to join our team. MSI General is one of the first fully integrated DESIGNBUILD construction firms in Wisconsin, with over 65 years of continuous profitability delivering excellence in design, estimating, and construction management.

 

The BIM Manager is a highly skilled Architectural Associate that provides integral support to our Design team by creating and maintaining templates, families, details, and reference documents while monitoring the overall integrity of the evolving BIM platform. In addition to BIM coordination, this role assists our project teams by taking on the responsibilities of architectural drafting and design as needed. Therefore, a thorough understanding of construction documents, specifications, administration procedures, and the shop drawing review and approval process is essential to this role.

 

This is a full-time, in-office (not remote) position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update the current Revit template and create new BIM families
  • Use Revit to build and update 3D models, floor plans, site plans, elevations, sections, details, and renderings for multiple projects
  • Train the Design Team to use Revit efficiently and establish best practices
  • Create digital drawings from concept sketches
  • Develop and update construction documents and drawing details such as check-sets, shop drawings, and as-builts
Required Qualifications:
  • An associate degree in architecture, information technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in construction and/or architecture
  • 3+ years of Revit experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Enscape, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in architecture, information technology, or related field
  • A thorough understanding of the DESIGNBUILD process
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to translate verbal and written information into technical drawings and graphics
  • Ability to comprehend and retain highly detailed information
  • Ability to meet time constraints, stay organized, and adapt easily to changes and demands
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A broad understanding of construction types and techniques, including steel, wood, precast, and masonry
  • Valid driver’s license
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Attend weekly company Job Progress meeting
  • Attend weekly Design team meetings and monthly Design team critiques
  • Visit job sites as needed prior to and during the construction process
  • Research Revit program updates provided by Autodesk and Master Graphics
  • Provide Revit tutorials to new team members
  • Participate in quarterly performance conversations with the Director of Design

Interior Design Associate

We are seeking an Interior Design Associate to join our team. MSI General is one of the first fully integrated DESIGNBUILD construction firms in Wisconsin, with over 65 years of continuous profitability delivering excellence in design, estimating, and construction management.

 

The Interior Design Associate is a highly skilled Architectural Associate that provides integral support to our Design team by implementing creative solutions with expertise, precision, and a thorough understanding of how a built environment affects its end users. In addition to providing interior design support, this role assists our project teams by taking on the responsibilities of architectural drafting and design as needed. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and the chance to work on a variety of exciting projects.

 

This is a full-time, in-office (not remote) position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our Design Team and clients to understand project goals, requirements, and budget constraints
  • Assist in the creation of functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces, from concept development through to execution
  • Assist in the development of spatial layouts, material selections, color palettes, and furnishings that align with the overall design vision
  • Prepare construction documents, specifications, and schedules for interior finishes and furnishings
  • Assist in the creation of design presentations, including and 3D renderings
Required Qualifications:
  • An associate degree in interior design, architecture, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in architecture, design, construction or related field
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to comprehend and retain highly detailed information
  • Ability to meet time constraints, stay organized, and adapt easily to changes and demands
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Attend weekly company Job Progress meeting

  • Assist in the coordination of project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards
  • Participate in the professional development of the entire Design Team
  • Participate in quarterly performance conversations with the Director of Design
