We transformed a historic Third Ward building into a vibrant destination for the first Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop in Wisconsin. This milestone project united historic preservation with playful brand energy, creating a destination that honors the character of the original structure while delivering the unmistakable personality that defines the Ben & Jerry’s experience.

Located within the architecturally rich Historic Third Ward district, the project required careful coordination to respect existing building elements while adapting the space for modern retail functionality. Inside, the shop balances a modern rustic aesthetic with signature brand energy. Warm wooden paneling grounds the space, while crisp white and lime green tile introduce a fresh, contemporary contrast. Throughout the interior, bold graphics and positive Ben & Jerry’s messaging reinforce the brand’s personality, creating an environment that feels both welcoming and unmistakably fun.

Delivered through our DESIGNBUILD approach, the project integrated design intent and construction execution under a single, accountable team. The interior celebrates the building’s historic framework while infusing vibrant brand colors, playful graphics, and contemporary finishes that reflect the spirit of Ben & Jerry’s. The completed Scoop Shop delivers a welcoming, high-energy environment that complements the Third Ward’s charm and establishes a new community gathering place in downtown Milwaukee.
