We partnered with the Okauchee Lions Park to transform an existing pavilion into a more functional, year-round community gathering space. The project expanded and modernized the facility to better support civic events, seasonal programming, and community use.
Throughout planning, we worked closely with park representatives to evaluate space needs, circulation, and enclosure strategies that would extend usability while respecting the park setting. Early coordination helped balance functional improvements with budget awareness and constructability considerations.
Working closely with Lions Club leadership and community stakeholders, we planned a series of targeted improvements to enhance access, functionality, and long-term durability while expanding the pavilion’s capacity for year-round use. Renovation efforts included complete exterior reconstruction with a new roof, brick, siding, upgraded lighting, and a refreshed façade, along with enclosing the pavilion and adding glass garage doors that allow the space to be secured while maintaining open access during events. Planning also included expanding the kitchen and meeting areas to support larger gatherings, relocating restrooms for improved accessibility, adding a dedicated Lions Club room, and creating new storage areas to support club-sponsored Okauchee Youth Baseball and other community programs.
