After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy and actively serving in the U.S. Navy, Dirk first joined MSI General in 1983. He continued to serve in the U.S. Navy Reserves until being called to active duty in 2007. Upon retirement from the U.S. Navy as a Three Star Admiral, Dirk returned to MSI General in 2012, where he strives to build on the success of the fully integrated DESIGNBUILD construction model as a third-generation family owner. Dirk effectively leads and supports our team to achieve our core passion of creating and maintaining raving fans of MSI General.
Since joining MSI General in 2001, Ken has taken on key roles within our DESIGNBUILD construction process. His hands-on experience, integrity and collaborative approach guide our company culture which leads to long-term management of strategic growth. Susan Butler, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Since joining MSI General in 1985, Susan has spent most of her career in the DESIGNBUILD industry. She is responsible for all financial activities of the company and works closely with our clients, subcontractors and project teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness with our contracts, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
Vice President – Director of Construction
With more than 30 years of construction experience, Tim manages our Construction Department. He works with our Project Managers and Superintendents and oversees all facets of the construction process, including: pre-planning, risk assessment, subcontractor scheduling, coordination, safety and quality control. He is committed to timely delivery of our projects with zero punch list items.
Director of Preconstruction
With nearly 30 years in the DESIGNBUILD industry, Erik has planned and executed hundreds of complex residential and commercial buildings. He leads the Estimating Team and manages behind-the-scene details, including conceptual budgets, hard budget constraints, project documentation and subcontract negotiation. “Plan the work and work the plan” is the cornerstone of his approach to each project.
Jeff Tredo, AIA
Vice President – Director of Design
Jeff is responsible for leading the architectural and engineering teams in realizing the vision of each unique client. With nearly 30 years of experience in the AEC industry, Jeff ensures our designs are creative, buildable, code compliant and cost efficient. He fosters a collaborative environment to support each project from the planning through completion by defining project goals and translating those goals into successful architectural design solutions.
Vice President – Director of Sales
John leads a team of Project Executives and Project Directors focused on developing strong partnerships with our clients. The team is responsible for business development, sales, marketing, and overall project leadership from conception to completion.
