Nativity of the Lord

MSI General worked with Nativity of the Lord Catholic Church to bring the parish’s vision of a warm, welcoming, and functional gathering space to life. This transformative project centered on creating an expanded narthex, improving accessibility, and enhancing the overall flow and beauty of the church’s entrance experience.

The church’s original layout was reconfigured, closing a stairway and exterior entrance to open the footprint and craft a spacious narthex that better supports community engagement before and after services.

The former entrance area was completely reimagined. The existing front doors and stairway were removed, paving the way for a refreshed gathering zone anchored by a magnificent three-story stained-glass window, now the central focal point of the space. MSI General’s structural team carefully addressed and reinforced significant deterioration surrounding the window, ensuring its beauty and integrity will be preserved for generations.

Blending new features with the church’s existing architectural character was a key priority. MSI General’s design team selected high-quality materials and finishes that harmonize with the historic elements while introducing modern functionality. Every detail was considered to enhance flow, durability, and the overall guest experience.

As part of the revitalization, MSI General modernized the church’s existing restrooms to ensure they are fully accessible, providing comfort and ease for all visitors. The team also completed foundational preparations for a future elevator installation, supporting the parish’s long-term commitment to universal accessibility.
