We worked with the Pewaukee Lake Sailing School to replace an existing residential structure with a purpose-built sailing education facility that supports training, instruction, and lake access while complementing the new adjacent Pewaukee Yacht Club building. The new building was thoughtfully designed to align architecturally and materially with the clubhouse, reinforcing a cohesive identity across the property and strengthening the club’s long-standing commitment to sailing education on Pewaukee Lake.
Close collaboration with program leaders guided planning decisions around instructional needs, circulation, and student use. The first floor features a classroom, restrooms and changing rooms with showers and a dedicated office to support daily operations. The lower-level storage area provides ample space for equipment, with an overhead door facing the lake to allow efficient launch, retrieval, and seasonal storage.
Delivery was completed through MSI General’s fully integrated DESIGNBUILD approach, enabling seamless coordination from demolition through construction. This single-source responsibility supported schedule certainty, cost control, and design continuity—ensuring the new sailing school functions efficiently while visually and programmatically coordinating with the adjacent clubhouse to create a unified lakefront campus.
