Accounts Receivable Associate
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team. MSI General is one of the first fully integrated DESIGNBUILD construction firms in Wisconsin, with over 66 years of continuous profitability delivering excellence in architectural design and construction management. The Accounts Receivable Associate works closely with our team to resolve open receivable issues and ensures funds are collected from our clients in accordance with their executed DBIA or AIA contracts. All Accounts Receivable tasks must be performed with clarity and precision following MSI General’s policies and procedures. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain GL entries, cash management, costs and billings
- Set up project invoicing and prepare monthly invoices
- Prepare customer draw requests
- Work with title companies, lenders, and clients to collect funds in accordance with contract documents
- Uncover and share with our team any unique job issues, cost overruns and/or unrecoverable costs
Additional Responsibilities:
- Track compliance of owner’s insurance requirements, MSI General’s insurance requirements, and client’s confirmation of financing
- Support all administrative staff
- Participate in monthly administrative staff meetings
- Participate in quarterly conversations with the CFO
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting
- 2-5 years of construction accounting experience

- Experience using Outlook, Word, Excel, and Viewpoint
- Ability to manage time efficiently, multitask and stay organized
- Ability to comprehend and retain complicated information

Project Superintendent
We are seeking a Project Superintendent to join our team. MSI General is one of the first fully integrated DESIGNBUILD construction firms in Wisconsin, with over 66 years of continuous profitability delivering excellence in architectural design and construction management. The Project Superintendent coordinates and supervises day-to-day activities on our construction jobsites. Strategic planning is crucial to complete our projects on time and within budget. The Project Superintendent provides the eyes, ears and voice of MSI General in the field while effectively communicating with our team members, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and administer project schedules
- Visit assigned jobsites daily and manage safety and cleanliness
- Review, interpret and maintain drawings and subcontractor submittals
- Resolve questions, concerns, or conflicts on plans or in the field promptly with diligence
- Attend project meetings, and run regular/special subcontractor coordination meeting
Additional Responsibilities:
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices for completed work
- Report on current job status(es) at our weekly company job progress meetings
- Maintain close contact with the owner and/or owners’ reps in the field
- Issue Field Work Authorization Notices for non-contracted work
- Prepare and distribute weekly meeting minutes and end-of-week updates
- Participate in quarterly performance conversations with the Director of Construction
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Continued Education in Construction Management or a trade
- OSHA safety training (30-hour course)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of direct construction supervision management, or 10-15 years in the general trades including trade or general construction supervision experience
- Valid Driver’s License
Position Requirements and Competencies:
- Broad understanding of all aspects of constructing a building: site work, concrete, masonry, steel enclosure, finishes, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
- Basic math and geometry skills
- Thorough awareness of building codes, safety rules and regulations
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience using Smartsheet for project scheduling and PlanGrid Build
- Good vision and driving skills
- Ability to walk a construction site and climb a ladder, capable of accessing all construction areas and tolerating adverse weather conditions
- Ability to anticipate unforeseen issues, develop alternative plans, coordinate important details, adjust priorities, and delegate as needed
- Ability to interact and communicate with others respectfully and professionally
- Ability to accept new duties, responsibilities, and other assignments readily
- Desire to follow through effectively by turning concepts into actions
