University Lake School (ULS)

We partnered with University Lake School to deliver a series of interior improvements through a collaborative DESIGNBUILD approach focused on enhancing staff support spaces and overall building functionality. The project was thoughtfully planned to modernize key areas while maintaining continuity with the existing campus environment.

The scope included remodeling an outdated staff kitchen to improve efficiency and daily usability, along with the addition of a new staff lounge designed to support collaboration, comfort, and informal meetings. These improvements provide faculty and staff with dedicated spaces that better support their day-to-day needs.

Additional updates included the installation of new windows and a unique folding door system that increases natural light and allows interior spaces to adapt for multiple uses. A new restroom and pantry storage area were also incorporated to improve convenience and functionality for staff throughout the building.

Interior layouts and material selections emphasize durability, simplicity, and flexibility. Design decisions were made to complement the existing architectural character of the school while introducing modern functionality that supports evolving operational needs.

Through the DESIGNBUILD  delivery method, planning and construction were closely coordinated to streamline the schedule and minimize disruption to daily school operations. This integrated approach ensured the finished spaces aligned with the school’s goals and expectations.
