We partnered with repeat client Gerhard’s Kitchen, Bath & Lighting Store on the demolition and buildout in a multitenant office/light-industrial building in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. This unique project transformed a former tile showroom into a new kitchen and bath retail destination and warehouse space for both Gerhard’s and First Supply to occupy. Of the total space, 6,610 SF was developed as Gerhard’s retail showroom, with the remaining 10,829 SF serving as warehouse, distribution, and wholesale office space in the back.
This project required careful coordination to balance a polished customer-facing showroom with the practical demands of back-of-house operations. We worked closely with the client team to manage the many product, display, and finish requirements that make Gerhard’s showrooms both visually impactful and highly detailed. The buildout also included several distinctive features: a working shower with multiple shower heads installed in the middle of the store, an LED-backlit reception counter that creates a glowing first impression, and the reuse and relocation of select product displays and racking to maximize value while maintaining the desired showroom experience.
Through detailed planning, collaboration, and disciplined execution, we delivered a space that supports both Gerhard’s brand experience and the operational needs of First Supply. Our DESIGNBUILD approach helped align showroom presentation, product functionality, and efficient distribution space within one cohesive environment. This project reflects our ability to manage complex tenant improvements, coordinate intricate retail showroom elements, and deliver flexible spaces that support long-term client growth and day-to-day performance.
